  1. On November 29, the United Nations has organized “International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People” since 1978 at the United Nations headquarters in New York, as well as the United Nations offices in Geneva, Vienna, and Nairobi.

  4. Indian Space Research Organization – ISRO successfully launched Cartosat-3, the state-of-the-art geo-supervisory satellite. With this, 13 small-sized satellites of a consumer organization of America have also been sent.
  5. DRDO Chairman “G Satish Reddy” has been awarded an honorary fellowship on behalf of the UK’s “Royal Aeronautical Society”. He will be given this honor for the design, development and deployment of aerospace vehicles, guided weapons and diversified missile systems in India. He is the first Indian scientist to receive this honor in the last hundred years.

Under this scheme, about four thousand 800 solar and electric tubewells will be installed in the first phase. This will benefit about 19 thousand farmers.

  26. The Assam government has banned the preparation and sale of gutkha, paan masala or chewing narcotics of this type. According to a recent order issued by the Food Safety Commissioner, the state will be prohibiting the preparation, sale, broadcasting, and movement of tobacco or nicotine-based items for a year.

The “Committee on Economic Affairs” of the Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved raising the authorized capital of “Food Corporation of India” (FCI) from the existing Rs 3,500 crore to Rs 10 thousand crore. The additional capital received from this decision can be channeled into FCI through the Union Budget, The FCI will use it for the storage of grains and will get relief from the burden of interest on its borrowings. This will also result in a reduction in food subsidy.
  29. The government has said that on November 1 this year, LPG was available in more than 96 percent of the regions of the country. Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan gave this information in Rajya Sabha. He informed that under the “Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana” 8 crore connections of LPG have been given.
  30. Renowned cartoonist Sudhir Dar has passed away. He was 87. He started his career with the Statesman newspaper in 1961. His cartoons published daily in the Hindustan Times were very popular. Currently, these institutions have been registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, they do not have the power to award diplomas and degrees. Once declared institutions of national importance, these institutions will be able to issue degrees and diplomas.
  32. Odia’s female weightlifter Jhily Dalabehera will be honored with the 27th Eklavya Award for the year 2019. The annual award instituted by the Indian Metals Public Charitable Trust (IMPACT) includes a cash award of Rs 5 lakh along with a citation. He won two gold, three silver and one bronze medals in various international weightlifting events held from April 1, 2017, to March 31, 2019. The Eklavya Award was established in 1993.
  33. India’s first “Quality Ratna” award was awarded to “Suresh Krishna”, Chairman of Sundaram Fasteners Limited. He formed the “TPM Club of India” in 1998 with the Japan “Institute of Plant Maintenance” and became its first president. He was given the award at the 27th Quality Conference organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry – CII Institute of Quality in Bangalore, the professional body.

Taking a major step to conserve the dwindling vulture population, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to establish the state’s first “vulture conservation and breeding center” near Maharajganj district. According to the environment minister, there has been a rapid decline in the population of vultures in the country, which has fallen from 40 million to 19,000 in three decades.

Union Human Resource Development Minister Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ released three books written for children – Kumbh, Garam Pahar and Bulbul (Sindhi edition) of Delhi by popular writer Dr. Anita Bhatnagar Jain at a function held in New Delhi. All three books are story collections for children. Dr. Anita Bhatnagar Jain is an officer of the Indian Administrative Service (1985 batch).
  36. The country’s largest government bank “State Bank of India” (SBI) has launched a new credit card. SBI has launched this credit card in association with a private airline company “Vistara”. This joint credit card of SBI and Vistara is named “Club Vistara SBI card” and 2 editions of this card have been launched. The Club Vistara SBI Card will provide facilities such as free ticket cancellation, Club Extension Silver / Base class membership and vouchers for upgrading the travel category.
  37. The author of the book “RN Cao: Gentle Spymaster” is “Nitin Gokhale”. This book is based on the life of the great spymaster “Rameshwar Nath Kao”. He is considered the founder of RAW.
  38. The Reserve Bank of India has expressed concern over the increase in non-performing assets due to the government’s flagship scheme Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana. RBI is of the view that loans sanctioned under the Mudra scheme should be monitored. According to RBI, Mudra Yojana loans were 2.52% in 2017-18, this figure has increased to 2.89% in 2018-19. Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana was launched in 2015 to provide a loan of Rs 10 lakh to non-corporate, non-farm micro / small scale industries. These loans are provided by Commercial Banks, Regional Rural Banks, Small Finance Banks, Co-operative Banks, MFIs, and NBFCs. Three types of loans are provided under this scheme, first – Shishu: up to Rs 50,000, second – Kishore: between Rs 50,000 to Rs 5 lakh, and third – Tarun: between Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh.

The festival aims to connect Indian women entrepreneurs and farmers with buyers. This will help in the financial inclusion of women entrepreneurs and farmers and boost organic food production in India.

  49. Former Navy Chief Admiral “Sushil Kumar” passed away. Born in 1940 at Nagercoil in Kanyakumari district of Tamil Nadu, Sushil Kumar lived with wife Vinita Kumar at Sector-21 Climate Vihar in Noida. He was the Chief of the Naval Staff from 1998 to 2001 and retired from the same position.
  50. The Lok Sabha has passed the “Special Protection Group” (SPG) Amendment Bill – 2019. According to the bill, now the Prime Minister and his family members will get SPG protection.
