  1. The Ministry of Road Transport and National Roads has said that even a person suffering from color blindness of moderate to moderate levels can take a driving license. The Ministry has issued a notification for amendment in this regard in the Central Motor Vehicles Rules. The Ministry has been taking measures to ensure the availability of traffic-related services and driving licenses to the PwDs. The Ministry has received many applications in this regard, In which it has been said that persons with color blindness are not issued a driving license due to non-submission of physical fitness or medical certificate. To obtain a driving license, the matter was placed before medical specialist institutions and their advice was sought. In these institutions, persons with mild to moderate color blindness were allowed to drive vehicles and only the severely afflicted persons were not allowed to do so.
  2. Inaugurating a unique initiative – Self-reliant Uttar Pradesh Rozgar Yojana, through video conference, he said that Uttar Pradesh will benefit greatly from this campaign. The self-sufficient Uttar Pradesh Rozgar Yojana is about employment generation for displaced workers who have recently returned from other states. Under this campaign, about one crore 25 lakh people will be given employment through various schemes in the state.

Oil intends to run a pilot project in some selected cities of the country for services such as e-rickshaws, e-carts, e-bikes, and e-auto rickshaws with services ranging from 20 to 25 rapid interchange stations and through it SMPL (Smart Mobility) Proprietary solutions).
  4. The anti-submarine warfare capability of the Indian Navy was further strengthened with the inclusion of Marich, an advanced torpedo decoy system capable of firing from all fronts of warships. This anti-torpedo decoy system is designed and developed in indigenous DRDO laboratories (NSTL and NPOL). Bharat Electronics Limited, a public sector defense undertaking, will undertake the production of this decoy system. The format (prototype) of this system was installed on a designated naval platform where it completed all user evaluation tests and demonstrated its characteristics according to qualifications required by the Navy.
  5. Vini Mahajan, a 1987 batch IAS officer, has become the first woman Chief Secretary (Chief Secretary) of Punjab. She will replace Karan Avtar Singh, a 1984 batch officer.
