  1. The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and IBM have jointly unveiled the free digital learning platform “Skills Build Reignite”. The platform has been launched to provide more and more new resources to job seekers and business owners in India. IBM has also launched Skills Build Innovation Camp with “Skills Build Reignite”. These two new firsts have been introduced to bridge the current skills gap in the country.

The Skill Build Rignight initiative has been launched to facilitate free online coursework and advice to job seekers and entrepreneurs. This will help them take their careers as well as businesses forward. Some of its key features are Personal coaching for entrepreneurs, mentoring to help small businesses start or start up again as they begin to focus efforts to emerge from the situation arising from the COVID 19 pandemic.

Skill Build Innovation Camp is a 10-week training program. The program will provide 100 hours of structured learning training to learners interested in gaining practical project experience to improve learning and is dedicated to building their network as well as increasing their employability. These students will go through the design thinking process, with expert facility guidelines including IBM volunteers and instructors. After undergoing this learning process, students will use strategic methods to prepare their problem statements, creatively prepare, solve complex problems more quickly, and design an innovative user experience.

  1. K Sivan, Secretary, Department of Space and Chairman of ISRO, has welcomed the reforms in the space sector announced by the Union Cabinet. Dr. Sivan said in a live video address that these reforms would harness the full potential of private sector entrepreneurs and start-ups and encourage activities in the space sector. Under these reforms, it is proposed to create an autonomous nodal agency. It will be named the Indian National Space Promotion and Authority Center-in Space. Dr. Sivan said that this will give a boost to private efforts in the space sector. This will open ISRO facilities to the private sector and also provide technical expertise. Dr. Sivan stated that the role of New Space India Limited was again Is being defined so that demand-based models can be created in place of supply based models for space-based services. The body will carry out rocket and satellite activities through the industrial consortium. State-owned enterprise New Space India Limited (NSIL) was established in March 2019. NSIL will have the responsibility to change economic and social policies to encourage the private sector in space activities.

The Central and Central Board of Secondary Education – CBSE has told the Supreme Court that it has decided to cancel the outstanding examinations of class X and XII scheduled from 1st to 15th July because of the Covid-19 epidemic. The board has also said that these examinations will be held later. The Supreme Court was hearing petitions for cancellation of the remaining Class XII examinations from July 1 to 15 due to the rising outbreak of Covid-19 in the country.
  3. Harsh Vardhan, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, launched the e-blood services mobile application of the Indian Red Cross Society. The Minister of Health is also the President of this Society. This mobile app was developed in 2015 by the e-blood team of Center for Development of Advanced Computing under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Digital India Scheme. After a request is sent about the need for blood through the mobile app, it starts appearing on the Red Cross Headquarters’ e-Basement Dashboard, so that a guaranteed delivery can be obtained on time. This makes it easier for the blood takers, while at the same place in the blood banks all the facilities can be obtained with full transparency.
  4. The Maharashtra government has announced the Vithabai Narayangavkar Lifetime Achievement Award to folk artist Gulabbai Sangamnerkar. The Vithabai Narayangavkar Lifetime Achievement Award is given to a senior Tamasha (folk art) artist. The year 2018-19 is being conferred on Gulabbai Sangamnerkar. The award carries a prize of Rs 5 lakh, a citation, and a memento. Veteran theater on-screen character artist Madhuwanti Dandekar will be honored with the Annaasaheb Kirloskar Award. Sangeetacharya Annasaheb Kirloskar Musical Theater Lifetime Achievement Award also carries a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh, a memento, and a citation.
  5. The Central Government has allocated Rs. 4 thousand 125 crores to revive the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises sector in Tamil Nadu. This amount is ten percent of the total allocation of Tamil Nadu. He also said that this scheme is being implemented effectively in the state. Earlier, he laid the foundation stone of the Pillur Water Supply Scheme costing Rs 166 crore. He also reviewed various smart city schemes in Coimbatore.
  6. NITI Aayog, a think tank of the Government of India, in association with the International Transport Forum (ITF), launched the project “Decarbonising Transport in India” on 24 June. The project seeks to promote a low carbon transport system for India. Since 2008, India has been a member of the ITF, an intergovernmental organization for transportation policy. The project is part of the “Decarbonizing Transport in Emerging Economies” (DTEE) projects. India, Argentina, Azerbaijan, and Morocco are the current participants of DTEE. To meet the climate/climate change-related goals in the country, the government must work to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases. Through this project, An evaluation framework will be created which will be designed for transportation emissions in India. This framework will provide the government with detailed input on current and future transportation challenges that relate to carbon dioxide emissions. Based on the results of the project, a path will be created towards a low carbon transport system in India.
  7. The Tripura government has announced the launch of Ekatu Games, Ektu Khelo (Ektu Padho), an activity-based special education initiative. The new scheme has been launched through WhatsApp or SMS services to keep students engaged in studies by broadcasting audio and video content focused on practical learning activities and simple projects, fun activities, and games messages. This new scheme will be accessible through parents ‘smartphones and if no students’ smartphones are available, they will be able to use SMS services to teach.
  8. Himachal Pradesh State Panchayati Raj Department won the first prize of “E-Panchayat Award-2020”. The award was given by the Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj. All these 3,226 panchayats of the state have been provided with internet facility and people can use various online services here. In these panchayats, various services like family register, birth, death, and marriage registration are registered online. The Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj is making efforts to bring transparency, efficiency, and accountability in the functioning of Gram Panchayats through the use of information and communication technology. The e-panchayat award is conferred to those states who have ensured optimum use of information technology for monitoring the functions of panchayats.
  9. Madhya Pradesh Power Distribution Company (MPMKVVCL) of Madhya Pradesh has launched the Nishtha Vidyut Mitra Yojana for women empowerment. Under this scheme, women self-help groups at Gram Panchayat level will serve as Nishtha Vidyut Mitra. The scheme has been launched to increase the company’s revenue as well as help women to raise additional income. The scheme has been implemented in all the Gram Panchayats of all 16 districts of Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Gwalior and Chambal divisions under the company’s jurisdiction. Nishtha Vidyut Mitra Yojana to motivate consumers to pay bills or through UPI app, Along with redressing various grievances of consumers like bad meters, it will facilitate new connections through online processes. Apart from this, it will also help in providing information about power theft and illegal use of electricity to the company. The company will pay an incentive to Nishtha Mitra Mitra for the recovery of outstanding bills and new connections.
  10. The Republic of Mali has awarded a Project Management Consultancy Agreement to National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) for the development of a 500 MW (MW) solar park. The announcement was made at an event organized by the International Solar Alliance. The program was chaired by Renewable Energy Minister RK Singh. The event was also attended by Sekou Kase, Ambassador of Mali. Earlier, the Republic of Togo had similarly engaged NTPC to assist PMC in developing a 285 MW capacity solar park in their country. In 2019, ISA appointed NTPC as Project Management Consultant as part of a competitive process to provide NTPC services to member countries. NTPC plans to develop 10,000 MW solar parks in ISA member countries over the next two years.
  11. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has announced that it will establish its permanent military base in the Indian Ocean by March next year. The announcement was made on June 23, 2020, by Alireza Tangsiri. Alireza Tangsiri is the Naval Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.   13. The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved the acquisition of a stake in Jio Platforms Limited by Jadhu Holdings LLC. Jaadhu Holdings LLC will buy an approximately 9.99% stake in Jio Platforms. Jaadhu Holdings LLC (Jaadhu) is a newly incorporated company, an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Facebook, as well as a publicly-traded company listed on the NASDAQ, headquartered in California, United States. Jio Platforms Limited is a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited and works on digital applications and controls investments in technology-related units. It is registered under the laws of India and aims to provide high-quality and affordable digital services across the country.
  14. Two-time Commonwealth Games gold-medalist weightlifter Sanjita Chanu will finally get the Arjuna Award which has been held since 2018. Chanu will receive the Arjuna Award as per the 2018 Delhi High Court order. The High Court had asked the selection committee to consider Chanu’s name and place its decision in a sealed envelope which was to be opened only if Chanu was exempted from allegations of doping.

The Government of Uttar Pradesh, in partnership with industry and other organizations, has envisaged a unique initiative ‘Self-reliant Uttar Pradesh Rozgar Abhiyan’ under which the programs of the Government of India and the State Government have been harmonized. The campaign focuses specifically on partnering with industrial associations and other organizations to provide employment, promote local entrepreneurship, and provide employment opportunities. The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate this campaign through video-conference on 26 June 2020 in the presence of the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.

Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel, Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated the Center for Product Application and Development (PADC) set up by Indian Oil in Paradip through a video conference with Odisha Chief Minister Mr. Naveen Patnaik. Indian Oil has set up a Product Application and Development Center (PADC) at Paradip with a capital of Rs 43 crore near its refinery and petrochemicals complex. PADC has 4 laboratories namely Polymer Processing Lab, Analytical Testing Lab, There are Chemical Analysis Lab and Characterization Lab. This technical center is equipped with 50 latest sophisticated plastic testing and processing equipment to meet the needs of customers and new investors. The PADC located at Paradip has been recognized as a research center by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.
  18. The recognition of the Karate Union of India (KAI) has been temporarily canceled due to non-compliance of the World Karate Federation (WKF) rules in its elections in the year 2019. The recognition of KAI has been revoked with immediate effect. Antonio Espinos, the head of the world body, has given this information by sending a letter to Karate Union President Hariprasad Patnaik. The Indian institution has the right to appeal against this decision within 21 days.

He was a three-time MLA from Falta and treasurer of the party since 1998. Ghosh is the first person elected in the state to be a victim of the epidemic.
