  1. 26 November is celebrated as “National Constitution Day”. Or Day is observed every year to adopt the Constitution of India. Constitution Day is also known as “Law Day”. The Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India on 26 November 1949 and came into force on 26 January 1950.
  2. On November 25, “World Non-Veg Day” was observed worldwide. The main objective of this day is to sensitize the behavior of animals towards violence and motivate people of the country towards vegetarianism.
  3. The National Cadet Corps (NCC), the world’s largest uniformed youth organization, celebrated its 71st Foundation Day (24 November). NCC girls successfully climbed Mount Tenchenkhang (6,010 m) in Sikkim, while boys successfully climbed Mount Hanuman Tibba (5,982 m) in Himachal Pradesh.
  4. The International Children’s Peace Prize for the year 2019 was awarded to “Greta Thunberg”.
  5. The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Australia’s “Western Sydney University” in New Delhi. This MoU will promote collaboration in research and developing guidelines to integrate the principles of Ayurveda with modern medicine.
  6. Scottish Open 2019 men’s singles title is won by “Lakshya Sen”.
  7. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has announced to spend Rs 500 crore on IT in the next 5 years. According to the news agency, SEBI will focus more on private cloud service in these 5 years.
  8. The four-day “Destination North-East 2019” was enthusiastically launched at IIT BHU. Varanasi is a cultural center, due to which “Destination North-East 2019” is being organized here.
  9. The Union Health Ministry presented the details of the beneficiaries in the Parliament under “Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana” also known as “Ayushman Bharat”. Gujarat was ranked as the “best performer” in terms of the hospitalization of beneficiaries. So far 10 lakh beneficiaries have been hospitalized in Gujarat and have claimed Rs 1,519 crore. Bihar and Uttar Pradesh were ranked as the worst performers. As beneficiaries, Bihar reported only 1,20,000 hospitalizations and UP reported 230,000 hospitalizations. Under this scheme, health claims worth Rs 7,602 crore were raised across the country till November 20, 2019, with around 6.2 million admissions.
  10. In the Pink Ball Cricket Test match in Kolkata, India defeated Bangladesh by an innings and 46 runs to win the two-match series 2–0. This is the twelfth consecutive victory of the team on Indian soil. India has become the first country in the world to get a fourth consecutive victory by an innings margin. Ishant Sharma was awarded “Player of the Match” and “Player of the Series”.
  11. The Kerala government has recently decided to ban single-use plastics. Single-use plastics include once-used plastics, such as water bottles and milk packets, etc.
