  1. US President Donald Trump arrived at Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Airport on his first two-day historic visit to India.   2. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh presented the trophy to the best marching troops in the Republic Day Parade-2020. The Indian Air Force contingent was declared the best among the three services. Air Marshal MSG Menon and Flight Lieutenant Shrikant Sharma received the trophy. Central Industrial Security Force – CISF was voted the best marching contingent in the Central Armed Forces category.   3. The “Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana” has completed one year on 24 February. The scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh on 24 February last year. Under the scheme, three installments of Rs. 2000 each year are transferred to the bank accounts of the farmers at an interval of four months. By the 20th of this month, eight crores of 46 lakh farmers have got the benefit of this scheme. Among them, Uttar Pradesh has one crore seven million farmers. 84 lakh 69 thousand farmers in Maharashtra, 55 lakh 19 thousand farmers in Madhya Pradesh and 53 lakh 60 thousand farmers in Bihar have benefited from this scheme. The Central Government has released more than 50,850 crore rupees. Agriculture Minister “Narendra Singh Tomar” launched the mobile app “PM Kisan” on the first anniversary of the “Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi”. The purpose of this app is to make the scheme more accessible to farmers. With this help, the farmers will be able to know the status of their payment and they will also be able to get the eligibility and other information of the scheme.

  5. The Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai has recently announced the opening of a special terminal for processing and storage of agricultural and pharma products. Farooq Khan, Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, flagged off a group of students from the union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Jano, a youth program on a ten-day tour. The program is being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Rehabilitation Council, the Social Welfare Department under the aegis of the Department of Jammu and Kashmir Affairs, Government of India. Through this program, students of these two union territories will get an opportunity to visit the monuments of Delhi, Jaipur, Ajmer and Pushkar, places of historical and cultural importance.
