  1. The Union Cabinet approved the “Atal Ground Water Scheme”. About 6,000 crore rupees will be spent on this. The scheme will be implemented in the identified areas in Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh within five years. This scheme will benefit about 8,350 gram panchayats in 78 districts of these states. The Atal Jal Yojana will promote groundwater management under the leadership of panchayats. The main objective of management is to change behavior to people’s water usage. The Union Cabinet named “Rohtang Pass Tunnel” as “Atal Bihari Vajpayee Tunnel” because of the contribution of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Have decided to do. It will be announced on 25 December on the birth anniversary of the Vajpayee. The decision to construct the tunnel was taken on 3 June 2000 during Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s tenure as Prime Minister.   3. The Union Cabinet approved the creation of the post of Chief of the Defense Staff, CDS. The Chief of Defense Staff will be of the rank of Four-Star General and his salary will be equal to that of the Chiefs of Defense Forces. The Chief of the Defense Staff will head the Department of Military Affairs to be created in the Ministry of Defense and he will serve as its Secretary. This was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address on the occasion of Independence Day this year.
  4. Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai has inaugurated the state-of-the-art DNA analysis center at the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) in Chandigarh. All the states and union territories will be able to use this facility. This new DNA analysis center has been established under the Nirbhaya Fund Scheme. 99.76crores was allocated for this center. After 2010, tobacco consumption has decreased continuously in almost 60% of the countries of the world.
  9. The Beijing-based Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) announced a total of $ 210 million in loans for irrigation and solar power projects in India.
