  1. In the Jharkhand assembly election results, the “JMM-Congress-Rashtriya Janata Dal” coalition has come to the position to form the next government in the state. The “JMM, Congress and RJD” coalition won a clear majority by winning 47 seats. The post of Chief Minister will be handled by Hemant Soren of JMM. The Soren family gained power for the fifth time in 19 years after the formation of the state. Hemant will take over as the CM for the second time. Shibu Soren has been the CM of the state 3 times. His sons Hemant Dumka and Barhet won elections in both seats. On the other hand, Raghuvar Das, who had won the former seat of Jamshedpur for 24 years, lost to his old ally, Saryu Rai. Chief Minister Raghubar Das has given up resignation, accepting defeat. The Governor has asked him to hold office till the formation of the next government.
  2. Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP) Mr. Yeduguri Sandipti Jagan Mohan Reddy launched a scheme for Nethanna Nestham weavers at Dharmavaram in Anantapur district. The objective of the scheme is to provide Rs 24,000 per year for each handloom weaver family. The scheme will provide financial assistance to about 85,000 families across the state for 5 years. Thus, each family will get Rs 1.2 lakh at the end of 5 years.
  3. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar co-chaired the 19th Joint Commission meeting with the Foreign Minister of Iran. The meeting was held in Tehran, the capital of Iran. The meeting reviewed all aspects of cooperation and also agreed to expedite the strategic Chabahar project. The Chabahar port is being jointly developed by India, Iran, and Afghanistan. It is located on the Indian Ocean in Iran’s Sistan and Balochistan provinces.
  4. The 50th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum will be held in Davos, Switzerland in January 2020. More than 100 Indian CEOs, politicians, and Bollywood stars can participate in this meeting. About 3,000 world leaders will participate in it. Theme: Stakeholders for a Cohesive and Sustainable World. The World Economic Forum (WEF) is an international institution, founded by Klaus Schwab to improve the state of the world through public-private collaboration. It was established in 1971. Its headquarters are located in Geneva, Switzerland.
  5. Vice President Venkaiah Naidu released the book titled ‘Turbulence and Triumph: The Modi Years’ in New Delhi. The book is jointly written by Rahul Aggarwal and Bharti S Pradhan and published by Om Books International. This book is related to the life journey of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, which describes the experiences of a young boy from Gujarat to become Prime Minister.
  6. To tackle air pollution, an ‘Oxygen Parlor’ has been started at Nashik railway station in Maharashtra. Through this, travelers will be able to feel pure air here. This initiative has been done by Aero Guard in collaboration with Indian Railways.
  7. There is Atapadi Jail located in Sangli, Maharashtra. Screenwriter GD Madagulkar of the film Do Aankhen Barah Hath suggested Shantaram to film parts of the film in the Swatantryapura campus of this open prison. For this, the department has written a letter to the Collector of Sangli. The state government has built a new jail building near this jail and the prisoners have been shifted there.

  9. Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu presented the 66th National Film Awards at a function in New Delhi. Ayushmann Khurrana was jointly awarded the Best Actor for the film Andhadhun and Vicky Kaushal for the film Uri: The Surgical Strike. Gujarati film Hellero was awarded the Best Feature Film. The best director award was given to Aditya Dhar for his first film Uri: The Surgical Strike. Andhadhun was awarded the Best Hindi Film. Uttarakhand was awarded the most favored state for films.
  10. Railways have decided to modernize the signal system over the entire network by adopting a modern rail control system. The Ministry of Railways has said in a statement that it is one of the ambitious modernization projects to upgrade the signal system to improve safety and track capacity for high-speed trains. The Ministry said, four works of a total of six hundred and forty km route at 1,810 crores have been approved as pilot projects in the Complementary Construction Program 2018-19 for comprehensive trials of the modern rail control system. The pilot project also includes Jhansi-Bina of North Central Railway, Nagpur-Badnera of Central Railway, Vizianagaram-Palasa of East Coast Railway and Renigunta-Yeraguntal section of South Central Railway.
  11. Ecuador has declared an emergency in the Galápagos Islands to control the damage to the environment caused by fuel leakage. The leak was caused by the sinking of a vessel carrying 600 gallons of diesel. All these islands are one thousand kilometers east of Ecuador’s mainland. The leakage was caused by the fall of a crane while loading the container into the vessel. The vessel stumbled and fell as the container fell. The Latin American Galápagos Islands, surrounded by water from all sides, has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered to be the most vulnerable site on earth in terms of environment.
  12. In Doha, Indian weightlifter Rakhi Halder has won two new national records in the women’s 64 kg category with a bronze medal at the Qatar International Cup. He set a national record with a total weight of 218 kg, with 95 kg in snatch and 123 kg in clean and jerk. Indian players ended their campaign with a total of three medals in this Olympic qualifying event.

This missile has been developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), the missile has been developed for the Indian Army, this missile can track enemy targets in a very short time.

Bank of Baroda (BoB), an Indian multinational public sector bank, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Gujarat to facilitate the flow of credit to the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector. As per the agreement, MSMEs from backward areas will be provided credit under Ordinance No 1 of the Gujarat Single Window Clearance Act 2017 for Greenfield Projects, Startups, Women Entrepreneurs and Entrepreneurs 2017 and October 24, 2019.
