  1. On the occasion of World Fishing Day, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has launched YSR Matsyakara Bharosa Scheme. This scheme has been launched for fishermen. Under this scheme, 1,32,332 fishermen will get monetary relief of Rs 10,000 during the period from April to June and during the sea ban. Its fishermen will be benefited from 21 to 60 years. Also, the subsidy on diesel for motorboats has been increased from Rs 6.03 to Rs 9 per liter.
  2. Sweden’s 16-year-old environmental activist Greta Thunberg was awarded the International Children’s Peace Prize for her struggle against climate change. Thunberg has launched a campaign against climate change with schoolchildren around the world. Cameron’s peace activist 15-year-old Divina Maloum has also been awarded the International Children’s Peace Prize. Dutch children’s rights organization ‘Kids Right’ has been giving this award since 2005. Indian child rights activist and 2014 Nobel Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi presented the award.
  3. Chitharesh Natesan of Kochi elevated the name of the country proud by winning the first Mr. Universe 2019 crown for India. He won this title for India at the World Body Building and Physique Championship. The World Body Building and Physical Sports Championships were held in Jeju, South Korea. 38 countries took part in this championship, in which India won a total of 23 medals. According to a letter issued by the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Hridayeshwar has been selected for the National Award for Outstanding Creative Child (Male) – 2019 Strong Disability under Child category.
  13. The first day and night cricket test match of Pink Ball is going on between India and Bangladesh at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The specialty of this match is that for the first time in India, Pink Ball is being used in place of Lal in the day-night Test. The Prime Minister termed the process of allegations as flawed and called it an attempt to reverse the plank. He said that he would not resign and that he was not legally bound to do so.
  15. The three-day Global Bio-India Summit 2019 has started in New Delhi. This will be one of the largest biotech stakeholders’ conferences held in India for the first time. It will be a platform for academics, innovators, researchers, medium and large companies. More than three thousand delegates from around 25 countries and more than 15 states of India will participate in this mega-conference.
  16. Union Water Power Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat released the documentary film Shikhar Se Pukar in New Delhi. This miniature painting is based on the memorial of Mount Everest Expeditions of Mr. Ravindra Kumar, District Magistrate, Bulandshahr. Mr. Kumar first made a successful climb of Mount Everest in 2013 and again on 23 May 2019. Mr. Ravindra Kumar named his mountaineering expedition “Swachh Ganga Swachh Bharat Everest Expedition 2019”. On this expedition, he also took the Ganges water with him and offered this holy water to Mount Everest, the highest mountain peak in the world. The film ‘Shikhar Se Pukar’ aims to promote ‘Jal Shakti Abhiyan’ and create awareness among people towards water conservation.
  17. The Ambassador of Russia thanked the Government of India and the Government of Goa for making Russia a partner country at the 50th India International Film Festival. Eight Russian films will be screened during the event.
  18. The Booker-Prize 1987 Urdu novel ‘Tazkira’ was written by Pakistani writer Intizar Hussain, in English translation ‘The Chronicle’ by American writer Matt Reke. Tazkira was initially published by the Lahore (Pakistan) -based Sang-e-Meel publications. The book depicts the story of the family of former President of Pakistan Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq and its magnificent houses.

According to a study conducted by the National Skills Development Corporation- NSDC, an additional 7 crore working-age people of 15-59 years of age are expected to enter India’s workforce by 2023. 84.3% of which will be in the age group of 15-30. According to the study, one out of every five persons in the age group of 15-30 years joining the labor force by the year 2023 is expected to be women. The female labor force participation rate in the age group of 15 years and above is estimated to be 23.3%. According to World Bank statistics, the female labor force participation rate in India in the year 2019 is much lower than other Asian economies- Vietnam (73%), China (61%), Singapore (60%), Bangladesh (36%). The rate in India is Lebanon (24%), Pakistan (24%), Libya (26%), Almost equal to countries like Tunisia (24%) and Sudan (24%). During the year 2019-23 only six states Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka are expected to join the labor force of 50% of youth in the age group of 15-30 years. The maximum participation of women in the age group of 15-30 years in the labor force is expected in the year 2021 and the year 2023, while the maximum participation of men in the year 2023 is estimated.
  20. Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan inaugurated the World Conference on Access to Pharmaceutical Products in New Delhi. In his address, Dr. Harsh Vardhan said that we should use this world conference to share knowledge for mass welfare. In the inaugural session ‘Position Paper-2019 World Conference on Access to Medical Products – Achieving the SDG 2030’, ‘White Paper on Safety of Rotavirus Vaccine in India: Smart Safety Survival Approach’ and ‘National Guidelines for Gene Therapy Product Development and Clinical Trials’ ‘Was released.
  21. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar inaugurated the Agricultural Exhibition-Agrovision in Nagpur. Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari was also present on the occasion. Eurovision aims to meet the needs of farmers of the Vidarbha region by informing them about the new technology of farming, suggesting work related to it and helping to make their efforts successful. This is the 11th such exhibition to be held in Nagpur.

In this connection, the Bill to amend the SPG Act will be introduced in the current session of Parliament next week.   24. Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar has said that a comprehensive time-bound plan has been prepared for the prevention of air pollution. Responding to the motion calling attention to the alarming level of air pollution in Delhi, Mr. Javadekar said that the Center has notified phased action for various levels of pollution in Delhi and the National Capital Region.
  25. The world’s largest Islamic conference – Almi Tablighi Ijtima has started in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. More than a million people from 54 countries are expected to attend this four-day conference, which will conclude on 25 November.

  27. Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal released the state’s new land policy 2019 in Guwahati. The state cabinet approved the policy on the 21st of last month. The Reserve Bank of India has suspended the board of the debt-ridden home loan company Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Limited (DHFL), with the company soon to begin the resolution process under the new bankruptcy law. DHFL will be the first financial company in India to go bankrupt. The Reserve Bank has suspended DHFL due to the board’s failure and default in fulfilling various payment obligations. R Subrahmanya Kumar, ex-MD and CEO of Indian Overseas Bank, has been appointed as the Administrator of DHFL.
  31. The government has approved the construction of six plastic parks in different parts of the country. These parks will have a conducive environment to coordinate between the various capacities of the plastics processing industry along with the state-of-the-art infrastructure building. These parks will be built in Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Tamil Nadu. Under the plastic park scheme, the government provides a grant equal to 50 percent of the project cost. The remaining amount is provided by the state government industries in the form of loans to financial institutions. Four new plastic parks in West Bengal, Haryana, Uttarakhand, and Chhattisgarh have also been approved in principle.
  32. Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, the maximum number of roads have been constructed in Jammu and Kashmir so far this financial year. This is an important achievement of the state. During this period, about 11,400 kilometers of roadway was constructed in the state. So far, 1,838 settlements have been connected by road.
  33. The Central Information Commission presented its annual report for the year 2018-19 in the Lok Sabha. This report was presented in Lok Sabha on 20 November and in Rajya Sabha on 21 November 2019. According to this report, the Central Public Authorities of the Commission received 13.70 lakh applications during the year 2018-19, a figure which is 11% higher than in 2017-18. Out of this, only 4.7% of the applications were processed by the Commission. The processing rate was 5.13% in the previous year. The Ministry of Tribal Affairs rejected the maximum number of applications, 26.5% in the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. While the Ministry of Home Affairs rejected 16.41% of the applications.
  34. China Police Department has recruited 6 clone dogs. These dogs are about three months old. He was born in August.   36. Government e-market (GEM) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Delhi government to provide market-based procurement facilities to buyer organizations in Delhi.   37. IIM Indore has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) of Mussoorie. A memorandum of understanding has been signed regarding the exchange of faculty members for various training programs. The MoU is in line with the vision to remain socially aware and contribute to society and the nation. The two organizations have agreed to joint participation in research activities of common interest in the areas of public administration, management, and public policy. The objective behind the training program is to bring together representatives from these three areas, helping them understand each other’s problems and find solutions.
