  1. Public Sector Energy Efficiency Services Ltd. (EESL) has entered into an initial agreement with BSNL for setting up charging stations for electric vehicles. EESL said in a statement that under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited. (BSNL) will install charging stations for electric vehicles in 1,000 telephone exchange premises. Energy Efficiency Services Ltd. Investing in charging infrastructure will operate and maintain it. At the same time, the public sector telecom company will provide space and electricity connections for setting up the charging station.

The National Museum under the Union Ministry of Culture is organizing a unique exhibition ‘Historical Gastronomica – The Indus Dining Experience’ from 19-25 February on the ancient food history of India. The exhibition also showcases the famous Bronze Dancing Girl which was obtained from the Harappan site called Mohenjodaro. Mohenjodaro is an archaeological site of the Indus civilization (Harappan civilization) located in the Sindh province of Pakistan. Mohenjodaro means in the Sindhi language- ‘mound of dead’. It is considered to be the oldest planned an outstanding city in the world. ‘Indus Dining Experience’ Archaeological Research, The National Museum is based on artifacts and their characteristics. It is jointly operated by the National Museum and One Station Million Stories- OSMS. One Station Million Stories (OSMS) is a team from Delhi that specializes in storytelling through extensive technical research.
  4. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos has announced the launch of the Bezos Earth Fund to combat climate change. Through this fund, Jeff Bezos is committed to contributing $ 10 billion to fight climate change and save the world’s natural resources. The Bezos Earth Fund will be given to climate scientists, social workers, NGOs to tackle the issue of climate change.
  5. The Union Cabinet approved the implementation of the second phase of the Swachh Bharat Mission. In the second phase of this mission, the emphasis will be on ODF Plus (Open Defecation Free Plus). Rs 52,497 crore has been allocated for the second phase of Swachh Bharat Mission. In this mission, work will be done by joining the Water Life Mission and MNREGA together. The AFC Women’s Football Committee opted to host India, excluding Chinese Taipei and Uzbekistan, by the committee stating that India is to host the FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup later this year, which India will get to experience organizing. DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, Trans Stadia Arena in Ahmedabad and Fatorda Stadium in Goa have been selected to host the extended matches of the 2022 Women’s Asian Cup, this time with 12 teams instead of eight. India hosted the tournament in 1979 when it was organized by the Asian Ladies Football Confederation – ALFC, a separate body and in 1986 it became part of the AFC.

Also, the Government of India will create 10,000 farmer producing organizations across the country. 6,000 crores will be provided by the Government of India for this work. India is the fourth largest vegetable oil economy in the world after the US, China, and Brazil. Oilseeds are cultivated on 13% of the total cropped area of ​​the country. The National Mission on Oilseeds and Palm Oil were launched by the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. It was implemented from 2014-15 to 2018-19.

  13. The Government of Gujarat signed a memorandum of understanding with the State Bank of India (SBI) to sanction easy and fast loans to MSME sector entrepreneurs. The bank will give its in-principle approval to the project within 15 days of applying. Start-ups can apply in the MSME portal or local nodal agencies. SBI decided to help Gujarat given the high growth of MSME entrepreneurs. The Gujarat government announced that the MSME units have been exempted from getting the approval for the first three years, and they can start their operations after obtaining the acknowledgment certificate by submitting a declaration of intent to the state nodal agency.

RBI had asked the bank to reduce the stake of the promoters to 20 percent of the paid-up share capital by 31 March 2018 and 15 percent by 31 March 2020. Kotak Mahindra Finance, the financial arm of Kotak Mahindra Group, got a bank license from RBI in 2003. She became the first NBFC (non-banking financial company) to be converted into a bank.
