  1. Pakistan has restored postal service with India. However, the parcel service is currently suspended. This information was given by Pakistani media on 19 November. In this regard, no official announcement has been made by the Pak government. In fact, Pakistan banned the service from August 27, protesting the decision to abolish Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir and divide it into two union territories.
  2. The “Davis Cup” match between India and Pakistan will now be held in Noorsultan, the capital of Kazakhstan, instead of Islamabad. This decision has been taken because of the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan. The International Tennis Federation-ITF has selected Noor-Sultan to host the match.
  3. India is ranked 59th in IMD World Talent Ranking, India slipped 6 points this time. A total of 63 countries have been ranked in this. This ranking was recently released by IMD Business School in Switzerland. Switzerland holds the first position for the sixth time on this list. Switzerland is followed by Denmark, Sweden, Austria, Luxembourg, Norway, Iceland, Finland, the Netherlands, and Singapore in 10th place.
  4. Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries has recently become the first company in the country to achieve a valuation of over Rs 9.5 lakh crore. The market cap of Reliance Industries has reached 9 lakh crore rupees on 18 October. The second place is TCS.
  5. The new President of Sri Lanka will visit India on 29 November on his first foreign visit after assuming the post of “Gotabaya Rajapaksha”.
  6. UNICEF (United Nations Children’s Fund) has presented a book of recipes for the well being of children, ranging from “uttapam to sprouted dal paratha”. This book tells that nutritious food prepared at less than 20 rupees will help in dealing with problems like underweight, obesity, and anemia in children. This book is 28 pages.
  7. The Union Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj and Agriculture inaugurated the “Saras Indian International Trade Fair – 2019” at “Pragati Maidan”, New Delhi. Saras IITF Fair to empower rural women through self-help groups.
  8. Cultural program “Days of Moscow” was launched to strengthen friendly relations between India and Russia. The purpose of this Delhi government event is to increase connectivity between the capitals of the two countries.
  9. The Assam Olympic Association recently launched the program “Grassroots Olympic – Mission Talent Hunt”. The aim is to discover talent in the state and prepare them for the Olympics. The launch was announced by Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. Sarbananda Sonowal is the president of the “Assam Olympic Association”.

The Golden Chariot train launched in 2008 has 18 coaches, including 44 guest rooms. The train has a facility to carry 84 guests. This train is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.

  23. According to the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, sea level has increased by 8.5 cm on the Indian coast in the last five decades.
  24. American celebrity businesswoman Kylie Jenner has announced the sale of 51% of her cosmetics company to Coty Company. The 51% stake is worth $ 600 million (Rs 4320 crore). Coty is currently a New York cosmetics firm.
  25. The Indira Gandhi Peace Prize 2019 for “Peace, Disarmament, and Development” has been given to “David Attenborough”.   30. The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare signed an agreement with the “Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation” for technical cooperation. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will assist the Ministry of Health in strengthening aspects related to primary health.
  31. A new species of wasp has been discovered, named “Idris Elba”. It is named after the British actor and musician Idris Elba. It kills insects that damage farms in India. This species, small in size, was discovered in “Guanajuato, Mexico”. It was there that the insect called “Bagrada bug” was found making its own diet. The “Bagrada bug” is a major pest in vegetables.

  51. The Central Government has finally released the data on farmer suicides after a delay of about three years. The Central Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) released the report and confirmed that in 2016, a total of 11,379 farmers had committed suicide. Maharashtra is consistently in the first place, Karnataka in second place in terms of farmer suicides. The cases of farmer suicides in Telangana have reduced by half. West Bengal consistently refused to give data on farmer suicides, with the state government claiming that not a single farmer committed suicide in them. NCRB has been publishing farmer suicide data since the year 1995 and since then till 2016 a total of 3,33,407 farmers have committed suicide.

On November 18, 2018, the Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has given a written reply in the Lok Sabha regarding the implementation of this policy. In 2013-14, 1.53% ethanol was added to petrol, the rate of ethanol blending in petrol has been reduced to 4.22% in 2017-18. For 2018-19, the Government of India has so far procured 180 crore liters of ethanol as against Rs 225 crore liters. The country’s annual ethanol production capacity is 335 million liters. Under the Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation Scheme, 5000 compressed biogas plants will be set up across the country by 2023. Oil marketing companies involved in the ethanol-blended petrol program can sell petrol with a maximum of 10% mixed ethanol.
