  1. Sachin Tendulkar has been selected for the Laureus Sporting Moment Award for the 2011 World Cup Winning Moment in Berlin, Germany’s capital. This moment of Sachin has been titled ‘Carried on the Shoulders of a Nation’. Also, Argentine star footballer Leonel Messi and Formula One driver Luis Hamilton have jointly voted Sportsman of the Year. Messi is the first footballer to receive this award. India won the World Cup by defeating Sri Lanka by 6 wickets at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai in 2011 under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. After winning the final, the players lifted Sachin’s shoulder and put a ‘lap of honor’ on the field. The photo received the highest number of votes for the Sporting Moment Award. It was Sachin’s sixth World Cup. American gymnast Simone Biles won the Laureus Sportswoman of the Year Award for the third time in 4 years. It also happened for the first time in the history of the Laureus Award. In disability Laureus Sportsperson of the Year was awarded to Oskana Masters, the American skiing champion. He won 5 Gold and a Silver at the World Para Nordic Skiing Championships.

It aims to promote national and international security and disseminate knowledge on issues related to defense and security.

A memorandum of understanding (by the representatives of the state government and the Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS)) for the establishment of a “bird ringing station” (the first and the fourth ringing station in North India) dedicated to the observation, monitoring and research of migratory birds in Bihar. MoU). At the same time, the number of 22 percent has declined sharply. 146 species of short-term data analyzed, 80 percent of them have decreased and the number of 50 percent has fallen sharply. The report has raised a lot of concern over the conservation of 101 species.
  7. The Pakistan High Commission in Delhi said that it has issued a visa to a group of Hindu pilgrims to visit the Sri Katasraj Temple in Chakwal district of Punjab province. The group is planning to visit Sri Katasraj Temple from 19 to 25 February. It is also known as Qila Katas or the complex of Katas temples. These Katas Raj temples have been built around a pond.
