A book titled ‘The Tangams: An Ethnolinguistic Study of the Critically Endangered Group of Arunachal Pradesh’ was released by Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu. The book is based on Tangams, the language of the extinct community of Arunachal Pradesh, who live in Koging village in Upper Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh. The book has been published by the Rajiv Gandhi University and the Himalayan Publishers, Center for Endangered Languages, New Delhi. The Center for Endangered Languages is a University Grants Commission sponsored center. Tangams, Adi tribes of Arunachal are one of the ethnic linguistic groups. According to the CFEL Field Survey 2016, the Tangams community has a total population of only 253, Who lives in only one village. The results of the study are presented in this book in chapters that include studies on Tangamas language to give important insights into the knowledge of language structures within the Tani group of languages.
The “CybHer” campaign has been launched by the Women’s Protection Wing of Telangana State Police in collaboration with the Legal Aid Center, Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad. This campaign has been launched to tackle online crime against children and women in the state. “CybHer” is a month-long virtual campaign that will make cyberspace safe for both women and children. The “CybHer” campaign will create awareness and offer them to be proactive and take proactive steps to avoid becoming a victim of a cyber attack.
