  1. Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has been sentenced to death for treason for violating the constitution. For the first time in the history of Pakistan, an army chief has been convicted of treason and sentenced to death. A three-member bench of the special court, headed by the Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court, Waqar Ahmed Seth, found the ailing 76-year-old former army chief guilty of treason and sentenced him to death. Musharraf took power in 1999 by removing the then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He was also the President of Pakistan from 2001 to 2008. In 2007, he was given the punishment for enforcing the Emergency in the country, keeping the Constitution suspended and ignoring it. Significantly, Pervez Musharraf has been living in Dubai since 2016. Pervez Musharraf was born on 11 August 1943 in Delhi.
  2. Indian women’s team opener Smriti Mandhana was included in the ICC Women’s ODI and T20 Team of the Year. The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the annual award. In this, Alyssa Parry of Australia was voted Woman Cricketer of the Year. For this, he will be awarded the Resel Hayhoe-Flint Award. Parry will also be awarded the ODI Cricketer of the Year. Apart from Mandhana, the experienced ODI bowlers Jhulan Goswami, Poonam Yadav, and Shikha Pandey were included in the squad. Thailand’s Chanida Sathiruang will receive the Emerging Cricketer of the Year award.

  5. Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh released vision document 2020-2025 on completion of one year of Congress government in Madhya Pradesh. It focuses on industrial development, agriculture, and allied activities, education, public health and nutrition, inclusive development, irrigation, etc. On this occasion, Chief Minister Kamal Nath claimed that his government has fulfilled its number of promises in 335 days.
  6. The popular classical music festival ‘Tansen Samaroh’ in Madhya Pradesh started in Gwalior with Harikatha and Milad. The five-day festival is celebrated every year in memory of ‘Mian Tansen’, one of the most revered singers in Indian history. Pandit Vidyadhar Vyas will be honored with this year’s prestigious Tansen Samman. On this occasion, musicians and instrumentalists from all over the world will perform their art.
  7. Amitabh Bagchi has won the DSC Award 2019 in South Asian Literature. He has been awarded this award for his novel ‘Half the Night is Gone’. The award was announced at the IME Nepal Literature Festival in Nepal. The award was presented to Amitabh Bagchi by the Foreign Minister of Nepal Pradeep Gyawali. Significantly, this time 90 entries were received for this award.
  8. CBSE has launched a Vidyadan scheme to increase the educational qualification of students. It has been launched by the board on the initiation app and portal.   9. The Army version of the BrahMos missile was tested at the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur, Odisha. According to the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), it was fired from a mobile auto-launch launcher at 8.45 am. The missile aimed precisely at the target ship. The BrahMos missile is already inducted into the Navy and Air Force and can now also be included in the Army fleet. The new version’s propulsion system, airframes, power supplies, and many more important equipment have been developed indigenously. The new version is 9 meters in length and can carry a warhead weighing 200 kg at a time. With a range of 290 km, the missile is capable of hitting twice the speed of sound. It is equipped with technology that can change the path even 20 km before approaching the target.
  10. Human rights organization International Rights Advocates has sued Child Labor against five of America’s leading tech companies – Apple, Microsoft, Tesla, Alphabet, and Dell. This is the first time such a case against tech companies. The human rights organization claims that these companies are supplying cobalt from the mines in the African country of Congo. Children work at less than $ 1 a day in the cobalt mines there. The risk is so much that sometimes even life is lost. In this way, tech companies are making billions of dollars in profits at the cost of children’s lives. 33% of Congo’s cobalt mines are operating without any rules. 66% of the world’s need is supplied from cobalt congo.
  11. The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has been selected for the National Award for best performance in the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) by the Union Ministry of Rural Development. The Union Rural Development Ministry has approved 147 road and bridge projects under PMGSY-II covering a length of 783.88 km in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh at an estimated cost of Rs 878.53 crore. The entire road length has been approved for upgrading the existing road infrastructure with ten years of maintenance.
  12. Communications and Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad launched the National Broadband Mission to provide affordable and universal broadband for all. It aims to connect all the villages in the country with broadband by 2022. On this occasion, he also released the logo of the National Broadband.
  13. The Armed Border Force has started installing laser fences along the Indo-Nepal border. Its main objective is to prevent a citizen of a third country from entering India without permission. K Rajesh Chandra, Director General of Armed Forces Force, gave this information at a press conference organized on the occasion of the 56th Foundation Day of the organization in New Delhi. Armed Forces Force personnel are deployed on the Nepal and Bhutan border, two and 450 km long.
  14. The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh will inaugurate the International Film Festival in the Shilpakala village of Kamal Nath Khajuraho. Topel talkies scheduled for the film festival will feature Bundelkhandi films including foreign countries. The International Khajuraho Film Festival is being organized by Prayas Institute in collaboration with the state government.   16. Portugal Prime Minister Antonio Costa will be on a two-day visit to India. He will attend the second meeting of the organizing committee of the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi. The meeting will be chaired by President Ramnath Kovind. This is Mr. Costa’s first visit outside Europe after being re-elected Prime Minister of Portugal on October 6. India and Portugal have strong ties. Cooperation between the two countries has also increased in many new areas such as science and technology, defense, start-up enterprises, shipping, and culture. The visit is expected to further strengthen bilateral relations in areas of mutual interest.
  17. India has rejected the proposal passed in Pakistan’s National Assembly on the issue of citizenship amendment law. The Ministry of External Affairs has described it as a completely internal matter, saying that Pakistan has deliberately misrepresented the objectives of this law. The ministry said in a statement that its purpose is to give citizenship here to people who have immigrated from some countries due to religious persecution.

Worked in over 40 Marathi, Hindi and Gujarati plays. Directed 20 Marathi plays as well. He is counted among the great Marathi stage actors. He played important characters in films like Gharaunda, Lavaris, Heraferi, Ek Din Achaan. “Applied” was also a professional ENT surgeon. The title of his autobiography is ‘Laman’, which in Hindi means ‘Malwahak’.
  20. After allowing NEFT transfer 24 hours and seven days a week, Paytm has become the only payment app offering 3 ways (UPI, IMPS, and NEFT) to transfer money 24 hours a day, seven days a week. According to the company, up to Rs 10 lakh can be transferred in every transaction through the NEFT through the Paytm app. Other payment apps like PhonePay and Google Pay in the country give a transfer limit of only 2 lakh rupees per transaction. Corporates and businessmen (who have a current account) using the Paytm payment bank will now be able to pay Rs 50 lakh per transaction at any time on any day.
  21. The banking ombudsman service has been revised and now its scope has been expanded. Ombudsmen have now been given a new responsibility by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in its jurisdiction, which will also have the right to hear complaints related to third party products such as insurance policies or mutual fund schemes. There has been a growing trend of people investing in mutual funds. Therefore, complaints of selling or investing policies are constantly being received in the mutual fund and Life Insurance Corporation by giving misleading information.

India has provided solar lights with study lamps to primary school children of the Bedouin community in Palestine to spread the principles of self-sufficiency and create awareness about the adverse effects of climate change. These lamps were given to the students in a workshop organized to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The solar study lamp is supplied by the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai. Its purpose is to make the beneficiary students a future campaigner about renewable energy.
  23. Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Nitin Gadkari launched the sale of Khadi handkerchiefs prepared by women from the families affected by the terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. At a function organized in New Delhi on the occasion, Shri Gadkari said that the formation of the Khadi Village Industries Commission is a byproduct of Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of empowering the poor of the society. He called upon the people to support this unique beginning of employment generation.
  24. Legendary film actor Danny Aiello has passed away, known for his portrayal in the films Do the Right Thing and The Godfather Part II. Aiello, the veteran actor of the stage and film, was most popular for playing the role of a pizza parlor owner in Spike Lee’s 1989 Do The Right Thing.
  25. The 5th meeting of the Economic Advisory Council (EAC) of the Fifteenth Finance Commission was held in New Delhi. Issues related to economic growth, inflation, basic reforms, tax revenue including GST, Financial Responsibility and Budget Management Act and fiscal transparency were discussed in the meeting. Also, the Advisory Council was apprised of the Commission’s action plan to the submission of the report for 2020-21 and the preparation of the report for the period from 2021 to 2026.
  26. A 3600-year-old unshielded disposable cup is on display in the gallery of a museum in London, the capital of Britain. The museum claims that during the Minoan civilization, cups made of smooth clay were used on the island of Crete in Greece. The cup was produced between 1700 and 1600 BCE, while this civilization existed from 2700 to 1450 BCE.
