  1. The Reserve Bank (RBI) announced a booster package of Rs 1 lakh crore to mitigate the impact of the ongoing lockdown economy across the country.   4. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Chairman and Managing Director P.K. Purwar has been given the additional charge of CMD (chairman and managing director) of Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL). This kit takes only ten minutes to detect an infection and takes less than two hours from sampling to final results. This kit can test at least thirty samples at a time. Currently, the machine used for testing corona comes from Rs 15 to 45 lakhs whereas the equipment developed by the institute is only Rs 2.5 lakhs. Similarly, The PCR kit being used these days costs about two and a half thousand rupees per test while the kit developed by the institute will cost only one thousand rupees. Approval of the Indian Council of Medical Research is awaiting recognition of this technology.
