  1. The Government of India is preparing to organize ‘Global Investor Summit’ for the first time in Jammu and Kashmir, this summit will be held in April 2020. This summit will attract large-scale investment in Jammu and Kashmir. For this, roadshows will be organized from 17 January 2020 in Calcutta, Bangalore, Chennai, Ahmedabad, and Hyderabad. The Jammu and Kashmir government will send 54 senior officials to properly organize these roadshows.
  2. The Municipal Security Council is being held in Germany from 14 February 2020 to 16 February 2020. India was represented in this conference by External Affairs Minister S.K. Is being done by Jaishankar. During this conference, Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar met the foreign ministers of Georgia, Portugal, and Lithuania.   5. India and Portugal have signed 14 agreements to enhance cooperation in various fields including defense, investment, transport, ports, culture, industry, and yoga. These agreements were signed after detailed talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Portugal President Marcelo Rebelo D’Souza in New Delhi. The President of Portugal is in India on a four-day visit. This is his first visit to India.
  6. IISS (International Institute of Strategic Studies) released its report on global defense expenditure. This report has been released under the title ‘Military Balance’. According to this report, global defense expenditure has increased by 4% in 2019. This is the largest increase in defense expenditure in the last 10 years.   7. Bharatiya Janata Party National President JP Nadda has appointed MP Vishnu Dutt Sharma as the new party president of Madhya Pradesh. Mr. K. Surendran has been appointed as the State President of Kerala and Shri Dal Bahadur Chauhan of Sikkim.

  11. China has applied for a patent on Remdesivir, an antiviral experimental drug from the United States, that may help treat the drug Novel Coronavirus (nCoV-2019). RemdesiVir is an experimental drug and has not been licensed or approved anywhere globally. It is not yet proven whether its use is safe or effective. It is currently being developed for the treatment of infection with the Ebola virus.
  12. NASA will send a new laser-toting robot Supercam (SuperCam) in seven devices for the Mars 2020 rover. This robot is used to study mineralogy and chemistry. This robot will help scientists find fossils on Mars by which signals of microbial life can be detected.
  13. Railways have planned to build Five Star Hotel on the tracks at Gandhinagar railway station in Gujarat. This hotel built above the station will have excellent facilities for the passengers. Railway Board Chairman VK Yadav said, ‘This has been happening in the world, but this is the first experiment in India. Gandhinagar will be the first station where the Five Star Hotel will run above the tracks.
  14. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated the government web portal of the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee. The web portal is designed by the National Center for Information Technology-NIC. People living in any part of the world can get information about Chardham Yatra from the government portal.
  15. Indian athlete Bhavna Jat has confirmed her Olympic quota in the 20 km race. He achieved this feat at the National Championship in Ranchi. Bhavana of Rajasthan completed this race in 1 hour 29 minutes and 54 seconds. While the time for the Olympic qualification was 1 hour and 31 minutes. Bhavna broke her national record of 1 hour 38 minutes 30 seconds, which she made in October 2019.
  16. English club Manchester City has been found guilty of violating the Financial Fair Play (FFP) rule.   17. The Government of India has approved the construction of two AIIMS Institutes and 9 Medical Colleges in Jammu and Kashmir. Approval under the Prime Minister’s Health Protection Scheme has been approved by the Central Government for AIIMS institutions. The estimated cost of this project is about Rs 1,661 crore. The project will be completed by 2020. AIIMS will also have a nursing college. The AIIMS building will be constructed as a ‘green building’.

India’s reinsurance company, General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC Re), has obtained a license from the Central Bank of the Russian Federation (Bank of Russia) to start a reinsurance business in Russia. The license enables the subsidiary to commence domestic and international reinsurance business transactions in Russia based on the capital invested by the corporation.

The Department of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) of the Government of Odisha has extended the Smart Banking solution and incubation to startups recognized by startups Odisha and acceleration support for all startups, to provide banking with the Housing Development Finance Corporation ( HDFC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bank Limited.

Amazon, along with with with the e-commerce company and its Amazon Web Services (AWS), is setting up 2 data centers near Hyderabad, Telangana in cloud computing services with a total investment of Rs 11,630 crore (about $ 1.6 billion).   24. The student of Kanpur IIT has created the world’s first unmanned vehicle powered by solar energy “UAV – Solar Mural-2”, which is equipped with “Exeron technology”. With this technique, the panels of the “UAV” will always be towards the Sun and receive the most energy from it. This technology has made “Maral-2” the world’s longest-flying “solar UAV” in its payload class. This “Solar UAV” has been prepared by Ph.D. student “Vijayshankar Dwivedi” under the guidance of “Prof. AK Ghosh” and “Dr. GM Kamat” of the Department of Aerospace Engineering after two years of research. The technology has been patented after a successful 18-hour flight on IIT’s airstrip. This “UAV” of 12 kg The payload (weight when flying with the material) is 20 kg. It has complete surveillance systems. This solar UAV can fly up to 100 km horizontally (in length) and up to five km in altitude (altitude).
