The move was taken in the wake of increasing incidents of domestic violence during the COVID-19 epidemic and lockdown.   7. The Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry launched a revised version of the “Cleanliness Application”. The application was launched in a video conference held with states and union territories. The application has more than 17 million urban users across the country. It has features available for reporting suspicious cases, reporting quarantine and lockdown violations, requesting medication during COVID-19, requesting food, shelter, and trash.

Taking a single dose of this vaccine is expected to provide long-term protection, which has a predictable safety profile similar to other licensed vaccines for vaccination. Upon completion of the research, the vaccine strain will be transferred to ILL, after which it will be given to the Central Drug Standards Control Organization (CDSCO) to conduct clinical trials. IIL has used its Vero Cell Platform technology for mass production of the vaccine.
