  8. Mylab Discovery Solutions Private Limited company has launched a cartridge-based machine called ‘Compact XL’, it is capable of handling and testing multiple samples simultaneously. The machine will reduce the need for laboratory technicians to handle and test samples, as a person will be able to operate the machine. The Compact XL is a 4X3 benchtop machine that is 100 percent indigenously developed and is the first machine in India to fully automate manual laboratory operations required for the testing of molecular clinical samples of COVID-19. This automated system will be capable of handling RNA / DNA based testing, RT-PCR testing, plasma, tissue, swab, and sputum samples.
  9. The government has extended the deadline for the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala scheme to take three free gas cylinders. Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said that beneficiaries can avail free cylinders till September this year.
