  1. Madhya Pradesh has secured the first position in the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana. Union Minister for Women and Child Development Smriti Irani will present the award to Madhya Pradesh at a function in New Delhi. Madhya Pradesh’s Women and Child Development Minister Imrati Devi and Principal Secretary Anupam Rajan will receive the award. Indore district has got first place in this scheme for better work. The main objective of Matru Vandana Yojana is to give women workers five thousand rupees to compensate for the loss in remuneration due to being on leave during pregnancy and to ensure proper rest and nutrition.
  2. India and Maldives signed five MoUs to establish the Addu tourism area on five islands of Addu Atoll in the Maldives. It will cost 24 million 90 thousand dollars. An MoU was also signed to set up a bottled water plant at Horafushi. All these projects were launched under India’s High Impact Community Development Scheme. These will cater to the needs of local communities.
  3. Amulya Maika (Purvanchal Laminates Pvt. Ltd.), led by its Managing Director Rakesh Aggarwal, was selected as the Most Promising Brand of the Year 2019 in the Gold category during the 7th edition of MSME Excellence Awards. The award and summit were organized by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) in Le Maiden, New Delhi.
  4. The consultation issued by the Indian embassy in Beijing said that the visit from China to India on e-visa has been suspended with immediate effect. This consultation will apply in the context of applications from Chinese passport holders and residents of other nationals residing in the Republic of China. Persons already receiving e-visas have been told that their visa is no longer valid.
  5. The United Arab Emirates has announced the discovery of huge reserves of 80 trillion cubic feet of natural gas along the border with Abu Dhabi and Dubai. A Dubai government press release said that the discovery of the Jebel Ali gas field would make the United Arab Emirates self-reliant in natural gas and prepare for the next phase of development projects in line with its development programs for the next 50 years. The new gas field is spread over five thousand square kilometers and is the largest discovery of natural gas in the United Arab Emirates.
  6. The central government has set up a task force that aims to ban dangerous coronaviruses in India. The task force consists of Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Minister of State for Home Affairs G. Kishan Reddy and Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. The main objective of this work is to stop the spread of Novel Coronavirus in India.
  7. Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the Ekushey Book fair- Ekashi Book Fair in Dhaka. The fair is being organized on the Bangla Academy campus. This book fair is organized every year to commemorate the martyrs who contributed to the language movement, under which Bangla was established as the official language of the then East Pakistan. The purpose of this book fair is to promote the art, culture, and literature of Bangladesh worldwide.

The Indian Navy, the Naval Branch of the Indian Armed Forces, called the 5-day ‘Malta Campaign’ in the Sunderbans region of Kolkata, West Bengal, to create awareness about coastal security to the local community and explain the shipping complexities in the Sundarban Delta waters. Has practiced coastal security.
  9. The central government has banned the export of all types of masks because of the growing threat of corona-virus. The government has immediately banned the export of all varieties of masks as well as clothing and equipment required for personal protection. These masks protect the person from micro-particles spread in the air. The government has taken this step given the possibility of increased demand for such products in the country after the corona-virus outbreak in China.
  10. A recent report by market-leading giant Counterpoint has revealed that India has overtaken the United States to become the world’s second-largest smartphone market. According to an ANI report, major smartphone companies such as Chinese technology giant Xiaomi, One Plus grew 7 percent year-on-year in India. In this way, the Indian smartphone market has touched the year-end shipment figures of 158 million. China topped the list.
  11. The government revised the GDP growth rate to 6.1 percent for FY 2018-19. It was earlier estimated to be 6.8 percent. The revised estimates have lowered GDP growth due to declining growth in mining, manufacturing and agriculture sectors. According to revised national accounting data released by the National Statistics Office (NSO), real GDP or GDP at a constant value (the base year 2011-12) stood at Rs 139.81 lakh crore in 2018-19. Real GDP in 2017-18 was Rs 131.75 lakh crore. Thus, the growth rate of GDP in 2018-19 was 6.1 percent as compared to 7 percent in 2017-18.
  12. Former Indian fast bowler RP Singh, 1983 World Cup team member Madan Lal and women cricketer Sulakshana Nayak were declared members of the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) by the BCCI. The first task of CAC will be to replace the current selectors MSK Prasad and Gagan Khoda. The term of the Cricket Advisory Committee will be one year.
  13. The “G-7” countries will form a joint action plan about the pandemic corona-virus. The G-7 countries are Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK, and the USA. Meanwhile, Mongolia, Russia, and Nepal have closed their borders. Bangladesh has also decided to temporarily stop the arrival of a one-month arrival visa to Chinese citizens in the hope of spreading the coronavirus.
  14. A national emergency has been declared after a locust outbreak in Somalia. Locusts have attacked food crops in this poor region of the world. Locusts threaten people and cattle food.

Apart from Prachi, Athobi Chanu Wangjon, Lashu Yadav and Mahi Raghav also won gold in this category. Muskan won the gold medal in the youth category. Sanya Negi, Deepika, Muskan and Sakshi Zahadel had to settle for bronze. In the junior category, Janhvi Churi, Rudy Lalminghamuni and Tanishka Patil won silver while Dia Negi won bronze.
  17. The National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) banned the Indian weightlifter Ramshad AR for 2 years, as he was found guilty of violating the anti-doping rule. Similarly, Indian wrestler Ravinder Kumar was banned by NADA for 4 years for failing the dope test.
  18. The Punjab government banned the sale of all types of online lottery schemes in the state. The decision was taken in a cabinet meeting chaired by CM Capt Amarinder Singh. The state government has reached this conclusion to investigate the sale of illegal lotteries under the guise of online lotteries in the state.
