  1. Soma Rai Burman, a 1986 batch officer of the Indian Public Accounts Service, took over as Controller General of Accounts. She is the 24th CGA and the seventh woman to hold this prestigious position. He has joined JPS Chawla. Soma Rai Burman was working as an Additional Controller General of Accounts before taking over as CGA. He has experience in important areas such as accounting, policy and policy reform, finance, data analysis, cash, and budget management.
  2. India has become the first country in the world to completely digitize the entire process of Haj pilgrimage. Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said this in Jeddah on the occasion of signing a bilateral agreement between India and Saudi Arabia for the Haj pilgrimage next year. Mr. Naqvi said that all information regarding accommodation and transport in Mecca and Medina in India through an online application, e-Visa, Hajj mobile app, “e-Messiah” health facility, “e-baggage pre-tagging” Arrangements have been made to give 2 lakh Haj pilgrims going for Haj in 2020. A portal called Haj Group Organizers has also been developed which gives complete information about the Haj pilgrimage package.
  3. For the registration of vehicles in Ladakh, the government has introduced a new registration tag LA (LA). Now the number of Ladakh trains will start with “LA” rather than “JK”. The government abolished Article 370 on August 5 and formed two new union territories namely Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh. Kargil and Leh are the two districts in Ladakh and it is now the second-largest union territory.
  4. The much-awaited festival of Nagaland started at Hornbill Kissam. This is the twentieth edition of the festival. The ten-day festival began at four o’clock in the evening in the presence of Governor RN Ravi and Chief Minister Nephew Rio. Mongatei of Aniyashu village blessed the traditional way. Museums and other events related to handloom, handicrafts, agricultural products, and World War II have been organized during the festival.
  5. Scientists from IIT Delhi and Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences have prepared an Indian dental implant with a decade of hard work. So far, these implants are sourced from China, America, Europe, Israel, Korea in India. Indian dental implants will be three times cheaper. The cost of an Indian dental implant can be 7.5 thousand rupees, while a Swedish implant of the same quality costs 20 thousand rupees. Every year 5-6 lakh patients in the country get dental implants.
  6. The Indian Pavilion was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development Sanjay Dhotre at the ongoing International Book Fair in Guadalajara, Mexico. It is the largest book fair for the Spanish language. India is the first Asian country to be included in this book fair as the guest of honor country.
  7. The powerful storms from the Pacific region in the Philippines – Kammoori have begun the task of evacuating thousands of people to safe places, and cancellation of some competitions for the South East Asian Games or to be held at later dates. The Asian Games were inaugurated by the President of the Philippines.
  8. In Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, 19 thousand 668 hospitals across the country have been covered till November 25 this year. These include more than nine thousand hospitals in the private sector. Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Ashwini Kumar Choubey gave this information in a written reply in Lok Sabha. Gujarat has topped the list with 2,865 hospitals. Two thousand eight hundred forty-nine hospitals in Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh 2,312 hospitals have been included in this scheme.
  9. Because of rising onion prices, MMTC, a public sector undertaking, is importing 11 thousand tonnes of onion from Turkey. The consignment will start arriving at the end of this month or early next month. The Department of Consumer Affairs has asked MMTC to take this step to overcome the rising onion prices. Also, in the middle of this month, Egypt will get six thousand 90 ton onions.
  10. Namibian President Hage Gyeongbob won the election for a second term despite allegations of economic slowdown and corruption, but his vote percentage decreased. For a long time, the South West Africa People’s Organization-Swapo, the ruling Gyeonggob’s party, could not get a two-thirds majority in the most challenging election. It was the most challenging election since Namibia gained independence thirty years ago.
  11. In Maharashtra, Congress MLA Nana Patole was unanimously elected as the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. Devendra Fadnavis of BJP said in the assembly that the party had nominated Kishan Kathore for the post of president, but in an all-party meeting, other parties requested the BJP that as per convention, the selection of the president should be uncontested hence the party withdrew his nomination took. Meanwhile, former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was nominated as Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly.
  12. The main stadium of next year’s Tokyo Olympics in Japan is ready. It uses 87% wood. That is, 2000 cubic meters of cedarwood has been used. The wood was brought from the forests of 47 provinces of Japan that were devastated by the 2011 tsunami. The aim is to keep the audience connected to nature and not feel hot. For this, 185 large fans and cooling nozzles have also been installed at 8 places. The 5-story main stadium is worth about 10 thousand crores.   13. After winning Miss World in 2017, Manushi Chillar not only conceived but also founded Project Shakti, a non-profit organization aimed at improving the menstrual hygiene of women in India. On the occasion of World AIDS Day, Manushi is expanding the work of Project Shakti by launching the AIDS awareness program among rural women from 20 villages in India. The initiative started from 1 December to spread AIDS awareness through community awareness.
  14. The Marrakech International Film Festival has announced to honor Priyanka Chopra by celebrating her achievements. He will be given this tribute at the Gemma El Fana Square landmark. This is the first time an Indian celebrity is being honored in person at this festival. Apart from Priyanka, three more people will be honored for their contribution to cinema, including American director Robert Redford, Veteran French filmmaker Bertrand Tavernier, and Moroccan cinema star Moana Fateau for over three decades.
  15. Taiwan’s Weng Wei Syed Modi has won the international badminton tournament. In the men’s finals, he defeated Saurabh Verma of India 21-15 21-17. In the women’s category, Spain’s Carolina Marin won the final. They defeated Thailand’s Phitayaporn Chitwan 21-12 21-16 in the title match.
  16. Australian opener David Warner has scored a magnificent triple century in the second Test of the series being played between Australia and Pakistan. He scored a triple century on the second day of the Adelaide Test match against Pakistan. He has become the second batsman to score a triple century in the history of day-night Test matches. It is also Warner’s highest score in Test cricket. Warner completed 300 runs with a four off the first ball of the 120th over of the innings.
  17. Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju launched the third phase of Khelo India Youth Games in Guwahati which will be organized from January 10 to 22 next year. In the third phase, two additional sports cycling and lawn balls will be added. More than 10 thousand participants from all over the country will participate in which a total of 451 medals will be contested in 13 days. Apart from Rijiju, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal was also present on the occasion. The third stage mascot, players’ jerseys, logo and theme song were also introduced in the program.

For maximum registration of workers and small traders in the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana and NPS Traders Scheme implemented by the Government of India to provide social security to the unorganized workers and small traders in old age from 30 November to 6 December, 2019 Pension week will be celebrated.

The government has launched a campaign to recruit one crore beneficiaries under Prime Minister Shram Yogi Manthan (PM-SYM) and National Pension Scheme for Traders and Self Employed Persons (NPS-Traders) by March next year. Labor and Employment Minister Santosh Kumar Gangwar campaigned to mark the celebration of Pension Week. Adding that both schemes are simple and hassle-free, Aadhaar card number is required along with savings bank account or Jan Dhan account for enrollment.
  20. Ministry of Environment gave away the awards for the short film competition on the environment. Many school students and professionals were honored with awards for their documentaries and films by Ravi Aggarwal, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Environment, at a function organized by the Ministry of Science and Center for Media Studies (CMS). Out of the 345 entries received, 90 films were nominated for screening before the jury, which included film directors Ramesh Sippy, Rahul Rawail and Manju Bora, who selected the final award winners. The four-day Green Festival was inaugurated by MP Suresh Prabhu, who presided over the jury.
  21. India has conducted the first night test of Agni-3 ballistic missile capable of carrying a surface-to-surface nuclear weapon. This missile is capable of penetrating targets over 3,500 km. The test was carried out from the Integrated Test Range at APJ Abdul Kalam Island near the Odisha coast. Earlier, India successfully test-fired a 2,000-km-range Agni-2 ballistic missile from Balasore, Odisha.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) are conducting Joint Military Training (JMT) from October 31 to December 12 at Kalaikunda Air Force Station in West Bengal. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has referred the Divan Housing Finance Corporation (DHFL) to the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) to run the corporate insolvency resolution process against the company. DHFL became the first financial services provider to be sent to a bankrupt tribunal after the government notified regulations on 15 November to hand over financial services providers to NCLT. In the case of ordinary companies, where they or its lenders can take them to NCLT, under the new rules, the company itself or its lenders cannot take it to NCLT in case of financial services provider companies. The regulator can refer the NCLT to the financial services provider company.
  26. Laxmi Narayan Nayak, a freedom fighter and former MP, died at the age of 102. The freedom fighter was born in the village of Nimchauni in the year 1917. After completion of education, he got a job in the Customs Department in the year 1935, but he did not like it and joined the freedom struggle with Pandit Balaram Vajpayee. Participated in the independence movement in the year 1938. Joined the Quit India Movement in the year 1942 and arrested in Magarpur. He also went to Goa in the movement, where he also had to eat sticks and bullets. After becoming independent, he entered politics and was an MLA twice from Lidhaura and once from Niwari. He was also an MP from Khajuraho Lok Sabha seat in the year 1977.
  27. Pacer Tim Murtagh of Ireland announced his retirement from international cricket. Tim, 38, made his international debut in ODIs against Australia in 2012.
