The government of Karnataka has launched a mobile application called “Corona Watch”. On 1 April 2020, the World Bank announced that it had offered $ 1 billion to the Government of India for the implementation of the Covid-19 Emergency Response and Health Systems preparedness project. The project is being undertaken by India to reduce the threats posed by the virus. This will strengthen the national system and improve public health preparedness in the country. This project will be run for 4 years. The project will be funded by the World Bank’s COVID-19 fast track facility.

The Central Government has extended the term of Reserve Bank Deputy Governor BP Kanungo for one year, which will come into effect from April 3, 2020.
