  1. In an important decision, the government has implemented domicile (permanent residence) in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Now citizens living in Jammu and Kashmir for 15 years will be entitled to domicile. Children who have studied in the union territory schools for seven years and have given the tenth or 12th-Grade examination will also be domicile. The Central Government has issued the Gazette Notification and also set the terms and conditions of the Domicile. Domicile will be required for jobs up to level four. This will provide relief to the local youth. The Union Home Ministry has issued the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Order 2020. The Jammu and Kashmir Civil Service Decentralization and Recruitment Act 16 of 2010 has been amended. In it, the terms and conditions of jobs and domicile have been set. The displaced registered with the Commissioner of Relief and Rehabilitation will also be domicile. Children whose parents have been living in the state for 15 years or are registered as displaced,
  2. The government of Karnataka has launched a mobile application called “Corona Watch”. The purpose of launching this mobile application is to track the movement of infected individuals and take precautions before the outbreak of coronavirus. Also, this app will provide the date and time the patients have been spotted. Also, the ‘Corona Watch’ app contains a list of hospitals selected by the government to deal with COVID-19, where citizens with symptoms related to it can go for the test. The Government of Karnataka has also formed a ten-member task force for COVID-19 in addition to the Corona Watch app. The task force is using IT applications and GPS to track individuals suspected of developing the Novel CoronCoronaviruso, quarantine persons have been ordered to provide their location information every day during the 14-day quarantine period.

On 1 April 2020, the World Bank announced that it had offered $ 1 billion to the Government of India for the implementation of the Covid-19 Emergency Response and Health Systems preparedness project. The project is being undertaken by India to reduce the threats posed by the virus. This will strengthen the national system and improve public health preparedness in the country. This project will be run for 4 years. The project will be funded by the World Bank’s COVID-19 fast track facility.
  4. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has launched a Twitter handle to share the latest information about COVID-19. This dedicated Twitter handle has been launched to share the latest news and update data related to Novel Coronavirus. It is named #IndiaFightsCorona and can be accessed via the handle @CovidnewsbyMIB. Authentic information and all updates related to Novel Coronavirus can be seen on this Twitter handle. This dedicated Twitter handle shared the helpline numbers issued for COVID-19 epidemic information in its first tweet.
  5. The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) launched a global painting competition on the coronavirus. The purpose of ICCR is to build cultural relations between the countries of the world.   6. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has issued advisories to all states and union territories, extending the validity of all documents expiring from 1 February 2020.   7. A team from the Indian Institute of Technology in Guwahati has developed a drone to sanitize large locations such as roads, parks, and sidewalks. The drone is equipped with an automatic sprayer that will help officers sanitize large areas to prevent COVID-19 from spreading. With an automatic sprayer, this drone can sanitize an area that can be done by a person in 1.5 days in less than 15 minutes. This drone can be operated by only one person to clean ‘large areas’ using the mobile app.
  8. The Central Government has extended the term of Reserve Bank Deputy Governor BP Kanungo for one year, which will come into effect from April 3, 2020. Kanungo, who took over as deputy governor in April 2017, was scheduled to expire on 2 April. The Reserve Bank consists of four deputy governors. The other three governors are S Vishwanathan, MK Jain, and Michael Devavrata Patra.
  9. The United Nations Security Council adopted Proposition 2518 to ensure the safety and security of peacekeepers. This is the first time a resolution has been passed for the protection of peacekeepers. This resolution was initiated and sponsored by China. It was co-sponsored by 43 countries including Pakistan, Iran, South Africa, Turkey, Russia, Vietnam. Currently, more than 95,000 peacekeepers are working in about 13 missions all over the world. The proposal to protect peacekeepers comes at a time when the United Nations is celebrating the 75th anniversary. This is an important year for the organization to implement “Action for Peace”.
  10. Announced the 2020 Sun Radio Interferometer Space Experiment (SUNRISE) mission. The giant solar particle storm of the Sun will be studied by this mission. The purpose of this mission is to study solar storms and understand the working of the solar system. This study will also help future astronauts to travel to Mars and protect them from solar storms. Under this mission, 6 CubeSat will be installed in Geosynchronous-Orbit. These CubeSats will use radio telescopes to make radio images of low-frequency emissions emitted from the Sun. These images will be sent to Earth via Deep Space Network. Also, this CubeSat will create a 3D map to know the location of the giant particle originating from the Sun. The spectrum of the Sun will be studied by this mission. Significantly, the spectrum of the Sun to Earth cannot be studied due to the ionosphere.
  11. The Himachal Pradesh government has started an active case finding campaign to locate infected people in the state. This campaign has been started to provide information about the symptoms of COVID-19 to the citizens of the state at their doorstep.
  12. “BharatPe” has partnered with “ICICI Lombard General Insurance Co. Ltd” to provide insurance cover covering COVID-19. This insurance facility has been introduced for shopkeepers who have been financially most affected due to the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

These people are accused of violating government instructions. Tablighi Jamaat was established in 1927. At that time it came into existence as a reformist religious movement and its founder was Mohammad Ilyas Kandhalvi. It is an organization of Muslims.
  14. ‘Modi Kitchen’ has been established in Kovai (Coimbatore), Tamil Nadu. This kitchen can serve food to 500 people per day, which will be operational till 14 April 2020. Modi Kitchen aims to deliver food within a radius of 10 km and has been set up in the main shopping areas of the city.
